My 6-Day Fast (Day 1)

After completing a 5-Day fast last week I’m on to the next goal, which already has its own challenges right out of the gate.

My 5–Day Fast: The Aftermath

Here’s what I learned from my first mid-length fast.

Key Observations:

  • My lingering cold disappeared completely after 24 hours of my fast. I had been experiencing gland tenderness, earache, and sinus congestion for over a week and within one day of not eating it was gone.

My 5-day Fast (Day 5)

Nearly 7 pounds gone in 5 days…My fast ends tonight and right now I feel as I could continue indefinitely.

Day 5:

Weight: 161.8 pounds (6.8 pounds lost since Day 1: 168.6)

Sleep: +/- 5 hours

My 5-day Fast (Day 4)

Day 4 started out near-euphoric but then got harder as the hours wore on.

 

Day 4:

Weight: 163.4 pounds (5.2 pounds down from Day 1: 168.6)

Sleep: +/- 7 hours

No nap yesterday helped me fall asleep quickly last night. I slept more soundly than previous nights of the fast, though I woke up early with another headache. Continue reading “My 5-day Fast (Day 4)”

The third day brought hunger yet continued resolve.

My 5-day Fast (Day 2)

How am I feeling physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually as my short fast continues?

My 5-day Fast

I started a 5-day fast, my longest so far. In this post, I detail my objectives and outline where I’m at on Day 1 with regards to my physical, emotional, mental and spiritual outlook.

Purpose: Physical and spiritual reset

Goal: Daily meditation/prayer, exercise, and journaling with a focus on weight-loss

Description: I started a 5-day Fast last night (Sunday). The plan is to fast until Friday night, drinking only water, cinnamon tea, electrolyte water (sodium and potassium added, called Snake Juice by some), and if I’m desperate, a mug of bone broth. Continue reading “My 5-day Fast”
